The Real Housewives of Miami will be back! Well, some of them. Of the original six, Marysol Patton, Lea Black, and Audriana de Moura are returning for season 2 of the show, Bravo announced Thursday. That means Larsa Pippen, Cristy Rice and Alexia Echevarria are out.

“The Real Housewives of Miami follows a group of the most beautiful, connected and influential women in town who work hard and play harder,” states a press release from Bravo. “This season will give viewers an inside look at these aspirational women as they juggle family, work and the fabulous social scene in a city where the food is spicy, and the drama is even spicier.”

The Miss USA beauty pageant won’t return to Miami Beach after all. At least not this year.

Weeks of talks to bring the steamy event and its 51 contestants to South Beach paused recently, with parent company Miss Universe deciding against moving the primetime pageant to Miami Beach in 2012. Miss Universe and South Florida business and government representatives, however, are still working to bring the event to the Miami Beach Convention Center for a three-year run starting in 2013, according to ACT Productions and the Green modeling agency, two main figures in negotiations.

Since his retirement from the NBA earlier this summer, Shaquille O’Neal(notes) has taken in some great news (his ascension to Turner talking head on TNT’s “Inside the NBA”), and some downright dodgy news (some accusations that we don’t want to give credibility to by linking to nor commenting on). This latest accusation, sadly, seems much more likely.

O’Neal has been accused by a former confidante of purchasing and implementing GPS-styled tracking software for his former wife Shaunie’s (pictured above and to the right) car. According to a buddy-gone-wrong, Shaq planted the devices to aid in tracking his former wife as she sought out any potential paramours still active in Shaq’s social scene, to put it mildly.
